英語スピーチ：Speech Contest

今日は、Toastmasters Club Japanの全国大会でした。

素晴らしかったです。

ディビジョンコンテストの時に比べるとさらに研究されたのだろうということがよくわかります。

どれくらい練習したんだろうなぁ。　

所属クラブで6回以上練習させてもらったと言ってらしたコンテスタントもいました。

全国大会のコンテスタントもトップアスリートのようなものでしょう。

喉の使い方も練習されているのでしょうね。

スピーチ自体は、プレゼンの機会が多いプロフェッショナル達が必要でトーストマスターズクラブに入会されるのだと想います。

が、多くの英語学習者の目指すのは、日常会話でありパブリックスピーチでは

ないと思われます。私もそうでしたから。

でも、このスピーチを作り上げるためにスピーチの構成を考えるところに大きな意味があると想います。

ポイントを絞り、余計なものを削り、よりわかりやすい言葉を使い、インパクトのあるジェスチャーをしつつも自然に聴衆に響く話し方をする。

決して簡単ではありません。

普段の話し方でも、的を得ない話し方をして人から誤解を受けたりすることがある私のようなスピーカーは、全国大会は、金の山です。

いいスピーチを書けるスキルを身に付けたいものです。

Today was the National Conference of Toastmasters Club Japan.

It was wonderful.

Compared to the division contest, it was evident that even more research and preparation went into the speeches.

I wonder how much they practiced.

One contestant mentioned that they practiced more than six times at their home club.

Contestants at the national level are like top athletes.

They must also practice how they use their voices.

I believe that many professionals join Toastmasters to improve their presentation skills.

However, many English learners aim for everyday conversation rather than public speaking. I was the same.

But I think there is great value in creating a well-structured speech.

Focusing on key points, eliminating unnecessary elements, using clearer language, and making impactful gestures while speaking naturally to the audience.

It's not easy at all.

For speakers like me who sometimes get misunderstood due to unclear speech, the national conference is like a gold mine.

I want to develop the skills to write great speeches.
