Just a little bit from Wednesday’s workshop

-Did you go to see the Christmas illuminations, or do you plan to go?

About 10 years ago, I went to see the illuminations decorating the streets around Tokyo Station, but now, I don’t feel like going out of my way to see them.

In the past, I used to see places like the “Blue Cave” and other displays introduced on TV, and I would visit them. But recently, even when I see such things, they don’t really move me anymore.

We don’t even put up a Christmas tree at home.

-Please make a conversation using 'truly means a lot to me.’

These days, more and more people are giving up on writing New Year’s cards, but my friend still sends me one every year.

She’s talented with words and uses beautiful expressions in her writing. I wish I could write heartwarming New Year’s cards like hers, but in the end, all I can manage is something simple like “Wishing you a good year,” which feels a bit disappointing.

Even so, just receiving her handwritten New Year’s card truly means a lot to me.

-How long do you keep paper manuals?

I keep them because sometimes I still need to read them. However, most of the time, I forget where I put them.

Recently, I realized how convenient it is that some printers display instructions on their screens when I don’t know how to use them.

After all, we’re living in a paperless age now.
