水曜日Workshop ナゼか男子会
こちらも例によって、ワークショップの文字起こしからAIに自然な英語になおしてもらってます。
Facilitator:
Alright, so today we’ll focus on **形容詞 (adjectives)**. If you know a variety of adjectives, you can express your feelings with just one word. It’s a great way to enhance your conversation skills because sometimes, you don’t even need to form a full sentence—just using the right adjective is enough.
For example, you can simply say, "amazing," "wonderful," or "excellent." Learning and getting used to these adjectives is incredibly useful, don’t you think?
Topic:"mind-blowing."
Let me share something about the most important aspect of composing haiku. It’s like a small "mind-blowing" moment—what we might call "ハッとする" in Japanese.
Our teacher told us that we should avoid using obvious descriptions because haiku is very short. We have to express everything in just 17 syllables.
For example:
- Instead of saying "the beautiful flower," you simply say "flower."
- Instead of saying "the red flower," you say "rose."
Imagination is key. It’s a kind of mind-blowing experience, isn’t it? Haiku allows the reader to imagine the composer’s world within the poem.
Topic: "Unpredictable."
First of all, when I hear the word "unpredictable," it reminds me of my own life. My life itself is unpredictable. For example, when I was younger, I couldn’t imagine the life I have now, especially life after retirement.
Life after retirement is a good example of unpredictability. started working when I was 22. At that time, the retirement age was 55 years old.
Back then, as a 22- or 23-year-old, I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be 55 years old. To me, 55 seemed very old! Retiring at that age was normal, and people leaving the company felt like they were from a completely different generation.
Looking back, I remember seeing those retirees and thinking I could never imagine life after 55. But now, having reached 55 myself, I was still working, active, and full of energy. From my perspective today, 55 feels young—and even 72 feels young to me now!
To put it simply, I believe age is just a number.Do you agree with the idea that "age is just a number"?
Topic:"Efficient"
‘Efficient.’ As you said, I think this workshop is efficient for us.I still don’t have confidence when it comes to speaking with someone in English. However, this workshop helps me relax. The members are so kind, and our facilitator is really nice, too.So I can relax and talk about something in English. I hope my English ability will improve even more. Someday, I want to become a volunteer English interpreter like SH-san.
