A Bit Of Wednesday Workshop Mar.5

Question:

What do you think about the mindset of believing in “I can“ rather than thinking about reasons why “I can’t”?

Answer:

Everything will go well if I think optimistically. Negative thinking can ruin my work, so I always try to stay positive. For example, when I sing a song in front of my students, I tell myself, I can do this! That positive mindset helps me perform well. Even if I make a mistake, I just say to myself, No problem! Thinking optimistically is really good for me. It keeps me motivated and confident.

Question: which meat do you like best—pork, chicken, beef, or lamb?

Answer:

I like pork the most. Hirata pork is delicious! I’ve seen people raising pigs.

Ah, I mean… how can I say it? When pigs are raised, they are sometimes given special food to help them grow like organic feed at the Hirata Farm. I often order pork dishes when I eat out. Pork is getting more popular these days, isn’t it? But the price is going up!Yamagata Prefecture, which is famous for pork. At the airport, I saw many big posters advertising it. I really recommend trying it.

Question: did you find the famous Kappa Ebisen snack truly ‘unstoppable’ like the slogan says?

Answer:

Oh, yes! I like Kappa Ebisen. The taste is not too sweet, and the shrimp flavor is nice.

When I was younger, I ate it often, but these days, I don’t eat it anymore.

If I see it, I might buy it, but I don’t crave it anymore.

Now, I prefer potato chips or harder snacks. Recently, I tried to find Nure Senbei (moist rice crackers), but I couldn't.

I thought rice crackers might be a good low-calorie snack, so I want to eat them more.

Question: do you prefer working alone or in a team? Why?

Answer:

Actually, I like working with colleagues or in a team because… When I work alone, I sometimes feel lonely. If no one is around, I can't talk to anyone, and that can be frustrating. So, I think working with colleagues is more enjoyable. In my workplace, teamwork is very important. We need cooperation to achieve our goals. That’s why I prefer working with others. Also, I have never worked alone as a freelancer, like a designer or a writer.

Question:

Share your thoughts on the division between science and humanities studies.

Answer:

I studied humanities at university, but I think my personality is more scientific. I like numbers. But I also enjoy reading books. So, I don’t really separate science and humanities in my mind.
