Wednesday Workshop 7/16

今回のミーティングでは、宇宙人の存在から音楽の話題へと広がる盛りだくさんの内容となりました。

* **宇宙人と音楽の夢**

　宇宙人はいると思う？という問いかけからスタートし、ある参加者は宇宙人の存在を信じていると話しました。別の参加者はサックス経験者で、「Fly Me to the Moon」や「Take 5」を再び演奏したいという夢を語りました。

* **カナダ旅行とアンの家**

　カナダからの長旅を終えたばかりの参加者が、赤毛のアンの舞台・キャベンディッシュでの体験を共有しました。観光地では日本語しか話さず、唯一英語を使ったのは市民センターでトイレの場所を尋ねたときだったそうです。

* **歴史人物との一日・夢の晩餐会**

　歴史上の人物と一日入れ替わるとしたら？という想像を楽しみました。また、「生きていても亡くなっていても、誰とでも夕食を共にできるなら？」という質問では、ある参加者が日本の政治家や軍人3人を挙げ、歴史的判断について語り合いたいと話しました。

* **苦手なものとスノーボードの夢**

　ゴキブリが苦手な話から、自然観察（キツネやスカンク！）の話題へ。スキー経験がある参加者は、スノーボードに挑戦してみたいという気持ちを語りましたが、年齢の壁も少し感じているようでした。

* **理想の休暇とスマホ断ちの祝日**

　理想の休暇について語る中で、ボストンで孫の結婚式に出席し、有名な庭園を巡ったり、イラン旅行にも行きたいという声がありました。また、新しい祝日として「スマホを断つ日」を提案する声もありました。

* **思い出の猫と初めてのアメリカ体験**

　夜な夜な外出し、ケガをして帰ってくる猫「ポコ」との思い出や、最初は行きたくなかったアメリカ（ポートランド）で、結果的に好きになったという旅行談もシェアされました。

* **お肉愛とアレルギーの話**

　最後は、好きな食べ物とアレルギーの話に。ある参加者は「無制限で肉が食べられたらどんなにいいか！」と熱く語り、特に牛のホホ肉に興味津々。他の参加者たちも共感しながら、名残惜しくもミーティングは終了しました。

* **Alien Beliefs and Musical Dreams**

The meeting began with a discussion about extraterrestrial life. One participant shared their belief in aliens, while another, a former saxophone player, expressed a desire to play “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Take 5” again someday.

* **From Japan to Anne’s House**

A participant shared their travel story from Canada, especially their visit to Anne of Green Gables’ home in Cavendish. Interestingly, everything there was handled by Japanese staff, and the only English they used was to ask for the restroom at a community center.

* **Historical Figure Swap and Dream Dinner**

The group imagined what it would be like to switch places with historical figures for a day. Then came the question: “If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead?” One participant chose three notable Japanese leaders and reflected on wanting to discuss their decisions and legacies.

* **Bugs, Wildlife, and Snowboarding**

The group chatted about personal annoyances, such as cockroaches, and shared nature encounters like seeing foxes and skunks. One member talked about wanting to try snowboarding, reminiscing about their past skiing experiences—but also wondering if age might make it difficult.

* **Dream Vacations and Digital Detox**

One participant shared plans to attend a granddaughter’s wedding in Boston and hopes to visit Iran one day. Another suggested a new holiday dedicated to disconnecting from smartphones to encourage face-to-face communication.

* **Furry Friends and First Trips Abroad**

One touching story involved a childhood cat named Poco who often came home injured but loved sashimi. Another participant recalled a first trip to Portland, initially hesitant to go but later falling in love with America.

* **Meaty Wishes and Allergy Talk**

To wrap up, the group talked about food allergies and meat preferences. A participant enthusiastically wished they could eat unlimited meat without health issues—especially beef cheek—and others agreed before saying their farewells.
