『探偵倶楽部』感想メモ📚

探偵倶楽部、読み終えました！短編集で厚みもないからサクッと読めると思ったのに、短編だと一度本を置いてしまうから、意外と時間がかかっちゃったなぁ。

やっぱり刑事モノの方が好みなのは変わらないけど、これは結構面白かった。この探偵コンビが出てくると、男性の方は「逃走中」のハンターの一人、女性の方はシシド・カフカを思い浮かべてしまう。

超セレブ御用達の探偵倶楽部…現実にもあるのかな？

セレブの世界には全く縁がない私には想像もつかないけどね。

調査力の高さと口の堅さでセレブたちに人気、と書いてあるけど、この短編の中では全部、警察には言っちゃいそうな雰囲気だったなぁ。警察に話すのは正義であって、口が堅いとはまた別の話だものね。

依頼した人たちは、そこまで考えが及ばなかったのかしら🤭

お金持ちにはお金持ちなりのいろいろがあるんだなぁ、と思いながら読んでたけど、『白夜行』や『流星の絆』みたいに施設で育った子たちにも、やっぱりいろいろあるし…

結局、人生の悲喜こもごもって平等にあるってことなのかな。

I finally finished reading *Detective Club*! It’s a short story collection and not a thick book, so I thought I’d breeze through it—but with short stories, I tend to put the book down after each one, so it actually took me longer than expected.

I still prefer police procedurals, but this was pretty entertaining. Whenever this detective duo shows up, the guy totally reminds me of one of the hunters from *Run for Money: Tōsō-chū*, and the woman makes me picture Shishido Kafka.

A high-end detective club for the super-rich… I wonder if something like that really exists?

I wouldn’t know, since I have absolutely no connection to the world of the rich!

The book says they’re popular among celebrities because of their top-notch investigation skills and tight-lipped professionalism, but in these stories, they seemed like they’d tell the police everything! Reporting to the police is the right thing to do, and being discreet is a whole different matter.

Maybe their clients didn’t think that far ahead. 🤭

Reading it, I thought, “Wow, rich people sure have their own dramas,” but then again, kids who grew up in institutions—like in *Byakuyakō* or *Ryūsei no Kizuna*—have their own complicated stories too.

In the end, I guess life’s ups and downs come equally to everyone, no matter who you are.
