涙のわけ:The Reason for the Tears

Can someone please explain this to me? I've finished reading the two Naruse series books, and yet, sometimes when I remember the Seibu incident, I just can't hold back the tears. I don't think it's something worth crying over, but whenever it comes to mind, no matter where I am, I find myself tearing up.

誰か説明してくれないか？成瀬シリーズを2冊読み終えたというのに、時々、ふと西武の件を思い出して、涙をこらえることができない。泣くほどのことではないと思うのだが、ふと思い出すと、どこにいても涙が出てくる。

Could it be that I feel a heart-wrenching sadness due to the gap between Naruse's way of life and the public's perception？

成瀬と世間の目のギャップが琴線に触れるのだろうか？

Or is it that I see myself in the fact that Naruse is considered odd?

それとも、成瀬が「変な子」という部分に自分を重ねて見てるのか？

また成瀬の話し方っぽくなっている自分が笑える

I find it funny how I’m starting to talk like Naruse again. How old am I, really?　🤣
