Question:What do you think of the the Nabuta Festival's colorful floats? Would you like to see them in person?

Participant 1

I’d love to see the floats of the Nebuta Festival. They’re so colorful and, above all, incredibly powerful, don’t you think? If I were to see them in person, I’d probably be amazed and think, “Wow, this is incredible!”

I haven’t had the chance to see them yet, though. But I have seen smaller floats before.

Do you know about it? At the Kashiwa Festival in front of the station, they have floats. They’re small, but they gave me a sense of excitement.

Also, I’d love to see the Aomori *Haneto* dancers. They dance while chanting “Rassera! Rassera!” I can’t dance because of my bad leg, but I think it would be wonderful if I could.

Question: Have you ever dreamed of visiting the Sapporo Snow Festival? What would you like to see there?

 Participant 2

I visited it. That was 20 years ago.

I think it was a warm winter. When we arrived at the festival site, the **Doraemon** statue was shedding tears—probably because it was a warm winter. We stayed near Sapporo, but we walked to the snow festival site.

It was very slippery.

So, I slipped and fell two or three times. I saw many people walking, but all the ones slipping and falling were tourists; the locals were walking briskly and confidently.

Question: Have you tried any traditional noodles like Wanko Soba? How many bowls do you think you could eat?

Participant 3

I had *wanko soba* on my high school trip.

But the teacher told us we didn’t have to eat too much.

Also, since the bus would take us through winding roads, they said eating too much might make us feel sick. So, I didn’t eat very much.
