英語でたどる、思い出の風景と気持ちたち

ワークショップ振り返り（2025年5月14日）

今日のワークショップは、あたたかい思い出や感情にあふれた時間になりました。

参加者の皆さんと一緒に、懐かしさを感じる写真を見ながら、自分自身の記憶を英語で語り合いました。

出てきたお話は本当に多彩で：

* お祭りで遊んだ**スマートボール**の思い出

* 海辺の景色に心を惹かれて湧いた**旅への憧れ**

* **亡くなったご家族**を思い出すお花

* 昔ながらの**電話ボックス、電灯、お風呂や机**への愛着

* そして、**雨上がりにしか出会えない虹**への感動と願い

*5月のお花見お弁当

どれも、その人らしさがにじみ出る素敵なスピーチばかりでした。

言葉の上手さではなく、「自分の気持ちと向き合って、それを言葉にする力」があふれていました。

写真があることで、普段は口にしないような記憶や想いが自然と引き出され、

「話す」ことが少しだけ楽になる瞬間をみんなで共有できた気がします。

今日のあたたかさを胸に、また次の1週間へ。

🌈 Workshop Reflection – Nostalgia in Everyday Things (May 14, 2025)**

Today’s workshop was filled with heartwarming stories, memories, and reflections as we explored nostalgic photos together. Each participant brought their own unique perspective, and it was beautiful to hear how ordinary objects — like an old telephone, a lunchbox, or a rainbow — could spark vivid memories and deep emotions.

We heard about:

* **Childhood memories** of festivals and Smart Ball games

* **Travel dreams** inspired by classic cars and seaside views

* **Beloved family members**, remembered through flowers 

* The charm of **old-fashioned streetlights, bath tubs, and desks**

* And the **magic of rainbows**, rare and fleeting, but always special

The photos helped everyone speak freely, and even those who were shy found something personal to share. Some spoke of places they’d love to visit again, others of loved ones who live on in their hearts. We also enjoyed touching moments of humor, surprise (like the *hakubishin* on the power line!), and appreciation for the simple beauty in everyday life.

Each story reminded us that our language skills grow stronger when we connect them to what we truly feel.
