### **◆ Round 1：UAP・漆・茨城県などの話題**

* UAP（未確認異常現象）が現れて「人類は宇宙で唯一ではない」と分かれば、人類は団結し、争いより共存を考えるようになる、という考えが共有された。

* 11月13日は「漆の日」。漆と聞いて思い浮かぶのは、日本の伝統的な漆器で、黒や赤の下地に金粉を散らした美しい装飾品。祝い事などに使う特別感のあるもの。

* 同じ日は「いいひざの日」でもあり、ひざについて話題に。最近ひざが少し痛むので、健康に保ちたいという思いが語られた。

* また、11月13日は「茨城県民の日」。茨城や埼玉は田舎だとからかわれがちだが、地元の人は誇りを持っているという話があった。

### **◆ Round 2：月と太陽・チーズかまぼこ・父の思い出・糖尿病デー**

* 月と太陽のどちらに魅力を感じるかという質問では、「月の方が好き。人が立てるし、望遠鏡で見るととても美しい」という意見。月の表面の粉のような質感に感動したという話も。

ちなみに、娘さんの名前は「陽」＝“the sun”。

* 11月14日は「チーズかまぼこの日」。チーズとかまぼこの組み合わせは食感も味も良く、お酒に合うという話題に。

さらに、日本食の英訳が難しいという経験談（例：あんこ、だいふく、かまぼこ）が紹介された。

* 「父の日（11月13日）」に関連し、厳格なお父さんの思い出が語られた。今となっては天国の父に、なぜあれほど厳しかったのか聞いてみたいという気持ちも。

### **◆ Round 3：地球の魅力・ジューシーの日・ポッキーの日・サッカーの日**

* 地球の素晴らしさについては、「生きものの多様性」「昆虫の美しい色」「紅葉」「青空と白い雲」「夜空の星や月・木星の美しさ」など、自然の美しさが挙げられた。

そして「人類は大変な時代なので、宇宙の存在が来てくれたら握手したい」という平和への願いも語られた。

* 11月14日は「ジューシーの日」。果物のジューシーさに加え、肉の肉汁など、食べ物の中の“液体の美味しさ”が強調された。

* 11月11日の「ポッキーの日」では、ポッキーよりも煎餅の方が好きというコメント。

* 同じく11月11日の「サッカーの日」。サッカースタジアムが遠く、観戦の機会が少ないという話題のほか、最近はバスケットボール（千葉ジェッツなど）の人気が高まっているという話もあった。

### **◆ Round 4：好きな宇宙映画**

* 好きな宇宙映画として『スペース・カウボーイ』が挙げられた。

2000年公開、クリント・イーストウッドが主演・監督・製作を務め、熟練パイロット4人が老朽化したソ連の衛星を修理するために宇宙へ向かう物語。

彼らの不屈の精神や友情が魅力だという感想が共有された。

* その流れで「肉汁＝meat juice」という単語のミニ知識も紹介された。

### **◆ Round 1: UAPs, Urushi, Good Knees, and Ibaraki**

* There was a discussion about UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena).

The idea was that if humans realized we are not alone in the universe, we might unite, stop fighting wars, and focus on peaceful coexistence.

* November 13th is the *Day of Urushi* (Japanese lacquer). Urushi evokes images of traditional Japanese lacquerware — glossy black or red surfaces decorated with gold powder, usually used for celebrations.

* The same day is also *Good Knees Day*. Someone shared that their knee has been hurting lately, so they want to take good care of it.

* November 13th is also *Ibaraki Prefecture Day*. Ibaraki and Saitama are sometimes teased as “countryside,” but the people who live there are proud of their hometowns.

### **◆ Round 2: Moon vs. Sun, Cheese Kamaboko, Fathers, and Diabetes Day**

* When asked whether the moon or the sun is more fascinating, the moon was chosen because humans can stand on it.

Looking at the moon through a telescope was described as very moving — its powdery, rocky surface looked beautiful.

Interestingly, someone’s daughter’s name means “the sun”—陽 (*Yō*).

* November 14th is *Cheese Kamaboko Day*. Cheese combined with kamaboko is tasty and has a good texture, making it a popular snack with alcohol.

This led to a conversation about how hard it is to translate Japanese foods into English (e.g., *anko*, *daifuku*, *kamaboko*).

* On *Dad’s Day* (Nov 13), a memory was shared about having a very strict father who used to scold by hitting furniture with a whip. Now, the speaker wishes they could ask him why he had been so strict.

* November 14th is also *World Diabetes Day*. Someone mentioned loving sweets but constantly struggling with the temptation to eat too much.

### **◆ Round 3: The Beauty of Earth, Juicy Day, Pocky Day, and Soccer Day**

* The beauty of Earth was described through many examples: colorful insects, plants, autumn leaves turning red and yellow, blue skies, white clouds, shining stars, the moon, and Jupiter.

One comment expressed the wish that if extraterrestrial beings visited Earth, we could shake hands with them.

* November 14th is *Juicy Day*. “Juicy” brings to mind not only fruit but also the flavorful juices from meat — pork, beef, chicken, hamburg steak.

It was also noted that everything, including humans, contains liquid.

* November 11th was *Pocky Day*, but not everyone likes Pocky — some prefer traditional rice crackers (*senbei*).

* November 11th was also *Soccer Day*.

It's hard to attend soccer matches because the stadium is far, and a formerly strong local team is no longer in the top league.

Recently, more people are watching basketball games, such as the Chiba Jets or ALTIRI CHIBA.

### **◆ Round 4: Favorite Space Movies**

* A favorite space movie mentioned was *Space Cowboys* (2000), directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, along with Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, and James Garner.

The film tells the story of four veteran pilots who travel into space to repair an aging Soviet satellite.

The strong spirit and determination of the characters make the movie memorable.
