成瀬は都を駆け抜ける　読了　📗

「成瀬は都を駆け抜ける」が昨日、12月1日にAmazonから届いた。さっそく読み始めて、あっという間に読み終えてしまった。もう2024年に「小説新潮」で読んでいた「やすらぎハムエッグ」と、今回の書き下ろし「親愛なるあなたへ」の二つが特に好きだな。

坪井さんと西浦くんが、今も成瀬とつながっているのが分かって嬉しかった。とくに西浦くん。笑　いい子だもの、お似合いだ。

「そういう子なので」では、お父さんと同じように泣いてしまった。読書って、本当に物語に没入しちゃうよね。成瀬のこれまでを知っている“おばさん”としては、そりゃ泣けますよ、ほんと。（私のこと）

ただ、ひとつだけ残念なことを言えば、「成瀬は天下を取りに行く」ほどの衝撃的な刺さり方はしなかったな。でも、よく考えれば、そうか…と思う。

だって、もう私たちは成瀬のことをよく知ってしまったのだから。あとは、大人になっていく成瀬を、微笑ましく見守るスタンスなんだものね。

400万年を生きる琵琶湖のパワーと、成瀬のスピリットがあれば、200歳でも300歳でも生きられるかもしれない。島崎もついているしね。

できれば70歳になった成瀬が見たかったけど、仕方ない。今回で物語完結を受け入れます。

70歳になった私が、いまだに大学2年生の成瀬を憧れの人と思っていることには、きっと変わりはないです。

成瀬、これからもよろしく！

*“Naruse wa Miyako wo Kakenukeru”* arrived from Amazon yesterday, December 1st. I started reading it right away and finished it in no time. The two pieces I especially love are *“Yasuragi Ham Egg,”* which I had read earlier this year in **Shousetsu Shincho**, and the newly written *“Dear You.”*

I was happy to see that Tsuboi-san and Nishiura-kun are still connected with Naruse. Especially Nishiura-kun—he’s such a good kid. They really suit each other.

I cried during *“Because That’s the Kind of Kid He Is,”* just like his father did. Reading really pulls you into a story, doesn’t it? As someone who has followed Naruse all this time—like an “auntie” watching over him—I couldn’t help shedding tears. (Yes, that’s me.)

If I may say one thing, it didn’t hit me with the same shocking impact as *“Naruse Sets Out to Conquer the World.”* But when I think about it, it makes sense.

We already know Naruse so well now. From here on, our role is to watch over him kindly as he grows into adulthood.

With the power of Lake Biwa, which has lived for four million years, and Naruse’s spirit, maybe living to 200 or even 300 isn’t impossible. And he’s got Shimazaki by his side, too.

I would have loved to see Naruse at 70, but it can’t be helped. I’ll accept that this story has reached its end.

Even when **I** turn 70, I’m sure the Naruse from his sophomore year of college will still be someone I admire.

Naruse, I’ll be cheering for you always!
