聖地巡礼:pilgrimage(加賀恭一郎編）

きょうは、初めてのミステリー小説の聖地巡礼をしてきた。こんなにワクワクするとは思わなかった。東野圭吾の加賀恭一郎シリーズに出てくる場所を巡るのが目的だが、宮部みゆきの杉村三郎シリーズに出てくる「オフィス蛎殻」の蛎殻町も近かったので寄ってきた。新参者の第一章「煎餅屋の娘」のロケ地「あまから」は残念ながらお休みだったけど、「民芸品屋の客」という章に出てくる「ほおづき屋」のロケ地「ゆうま」でちょっと買い物もした。帰りには日本橋三越で余計なものまで買ってしまったけど、久しぶりにとても休日らしい1日を送ることができて良かった。

Today, I went on my first mystery novel pilgrimage. I didn’t expect it to be this exciting. My main goal was to visit the locations featured in Keigo Higashino’s Kyoichiro Kaga series, but since Kakigara Town, where the office from Miyuki Miyabe’s Saburo Sugimura series is set, was nearby, I decided to stop by there too. Unfortunately, 'Amakara,' the filming location for the first chapter of 'Shinzanmono,' 'The Senbei Shop’s Daughter,' was closed, but I did a bit of shopping at 'Yuuma,' the filming location for 'Hoozukiya,' which appears in the chapter 'The Folk Craft Shop Customer.' On the way back, I ended up buying a few unnecessary things at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, but overall, I’m glad I was able to spend such a relaxed, holiday-like day after a long time.
